VIVIAN ACHWAL WINS IN WHITELEY...
Vivian Achwal is celebrating election to Winchester City Council following her win in Whiteley. Vivian polled 551 votes, with the Conservative candidate in second on 459. Labour finished in third place with just 20 votes.

Urgent action needed on fly-tipping

Increased fly-tipping is ruining the beauty of the Meon Valley countryside, according to Prospective Lib Dem MP for Meon Valley, Liz Leffman. And she believes that the cost of this to taxpayers could be significantly reduced if some simple steps were taken to improve access to local tips.
